There are different tiers of cork fabric and of course the ones I’ve brought in are of the finest quality! My cork fabrics have the highest density and are the least textured, thus providing a clean pale tan background upon which my selected designs are printed just for me! The very handy bonus with my cork fabrics is the premium adhesive backing! No more having to apply separate glues. You can even reposition the cork fabric if you haven’t pressed it down firmly on the surface! And oh, cork fabrics are tear-resistant, scratch-proof, stain-resistant, and water-repellent. You don’t have to seal them. You can even crumple it and then smooth it out again.
Cork Fabrics are very durable with high tensile strength as they are processed for an additional six weeks compared to non-fabric cork. They have been boiled and washed and flattened and bonded to other fibres to allow strength and durability whilst being supple. Cork fabrics have been used in place of leather for handbags and wallets, shoes and dresses, furniture and coverings. It can be stitched!
Cork is highly eco-sustainable (cork oak trees regenerate their bark after they are stripped).and can be used as a humane, plastic-free alternative to an animal product. If needed, you can clean with water & soap.
